This is another good example where we have an entrance step that has a lot of wear and tear and so it’s due to be replaced and repaired. The customer looks like they attempted to make a repair on this previously. They took an entire panel and moved it inward so they hand stitched this entire seam and you can see there’s a lot of tension on this area, and in the long run this is not going to work well. Because there’s so much tension, this stitching will break. And so this isn’t in a good condition to use, especially with kids climbing in and out of it. It could possibly be a safety hazard. And so we are just going to replace this entire top because of the hand stitching and we’ll show you what it looks like when it’s done. Here’s what the step looks like after we recovered it. You can see that now there’s no tension on the step. We don’t have any pinching and so it’s going to keep this from causing any problems in the future. Now it’s much safer to use. And it doesn’t eve look like it was replaced because we replaced the entire top of this with brand new vinyl. And you can also see here that after we started working on this repair we noticed that this area of the entrance was a bit worn. So we also went and recovered this area with a new piece of vinyl and now it’s double reinforced with vinyl so that when there’s a lot of traffic going in and out of this inflatable, there won’t be any issues in the future with this tearing. Hi, I'm Meagan with Repair My Moonwalk and I'm sharing three reasons why it's so important to repair your inflatables. First reason, is damaged inflatables are not safe for your customers. Damaged windows could cause a child to fall out of a bounce house and large holes inflatables such as slides and obstacles could cause a child to fall through. They're just not safe. The second reason goes along with it. It gives your company a bad reputation. If a customer gets a damaged inflatable, they might not rent from you again, and they might go tell all their friends about the bad experience they had with your company. So you want to make sure that this doesn't happen by keeping your inflatables clean and repairing them as needed. Thirdly, you want to get your inflatables repaired quickly. Damaged inflatables could cause a loss of money for you and your company. If a customer gets an inflatable and damages it and you already have the inflatable rented out, you could be in trouble. A couple of ways to fix this, is by having a patch kit or repair kit on hand. This allows for quick and easy fixing so it's ready for the next rental. To use the curved needle to close a seam, you are going to tie a knot on the end of your thread opposite of the curved needle. You will thread the needle through one of the holes in the stitching and pull through until that knot stops the thread from coming all the way out. Then you will take the curved needle and follow the holes in a criss-cross pattern across the row of stitching until the area of vinyl begins to close. You will repeat this process all the way down until you have reached the other end of the opened area of vinyl. Then, once you've reached the end, you will close the stitch by threading through the hole, wrapping the thread around the needle several times, and pulling through. And you can repeat this process several times until you've ensured there's a secure knot on the end. And then by the time you're done it should look like there was no broken stitching to begin with.

Here we have a common issue that you find after having one of these inflatables for quite some time. You can see the entrance to this obstacle course has started to tear on these covers. These covers are specifically made and placed here to anticipate this issue. Knowing that over time as kids crawl through the inflatable, the stress and the wear that it causes will eventually cause these covers to tear. But the good thing about this situation is because these covers are here, the inflatable itself isn’t damaged. The material underneath these covers is not torn and worn. And so this is going to be a much cheaper repair than it would be if these covers weren’t here and the actual moonwalk had to be replaced. So we’re just going to removed these Velcro flap covers. We’re going to replicate them and put new ones on. And if you have a situation like this with your inflatable, you can take the covers off yourself and ship them to us, and then we can replicate and ship the new ones back to you without you ever having to bring the inflatable to us. And we’ll show you what the new covers look like when they’re done. Here’s what the new covers look like. we replicated them and put new covers onto the obstacle course. So now that they’re brand new and covering the entrances, the customer shouldn’t have any issues for a long time with kids climbing in and out of it. But, if many years down the road, if the issue comes up again, these areas can be replaced. And that’s why it’s so important to use these covers because it makes it much easier and cheaper for these areas to be repaired in the long run. Ok this is a do-it-yourself deflation flap for moonwalks or bounce houses and inflatable slides and these are very important because it makes the inflatable deflate very quickly and just in case your inflatable gets really wet you're going to need to get inside there with towels and just to let it air out all day. You can just leave it open, send someone in there or just leave it open all day. You apply it very simply. Let me open it up for you so you can see what it looks like. It's got really nice velcro. Inside there's a mechanical zipper right here. The way you apply it is you first set this where you want it on the inflatable and you'll get a white marker and you'll just trace the border. Then you remove that and you use the glue that we send you in the package and you glue just around the border of the rectangle that you drew. Then you put glue on the back of this. Again, just on the edges. You put that on top of the glue and you're going to let it sit for about five minutes while applying pressure. Once that's dry, you're going to open this up. You'll open the mechanical zipper and very carefully you're going to cut with either scissors or a knife the vinyl of the jumper or whatever you're applying it to. And there you go. That's our deflation flap.
